Job search just got easier: LinkedIn revamps Jobs tool

LinkedIn has some good news for job seekers across the world.

The social networking site for professionals is rolling out a revamped LinkedIn Jobs tool that will make job search more effective, smarter and easier.

According to the LinkedIn blog, the new tool will be rolled out to all members in the coming few weeks enabling users to connect with the right career opportunities and tools to help them take advantage of such opportunities.

Beyond the new look and feel, LinkedIn announced significant improvements to enable better management of job searches. This includes a brand new feature that highlights open positions at companies where users have a first-degree connection – an ‘in’ who can open doors for them at an organisation that’s hiring.

Furthermore, deeper job searches using Advanced Search options to target open positions by country and zip code, industry and function will be available. Users can also see new results from their saved search parameters and have easier access to “Jobs you may be interested in”.

New additions for LinkedIn Job Seeker Premium subscribers include a new Advanced Search feature to find jobs that meet their salary requirements and embedded tips to help them make the most of LinkedIn for job search.
